| First attempt at the drawbridge. I'm having a hard time getting a cartoony feel. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of making the castle a solid grey instead of bricks.

| What's the side view look like? layout: our knight on horse gallops across the draw bridge from camera left to camera right. Is there enough space for the horse to gallop, say 3 cycles, before exiting camera right? Might be helpful for someone to animate a cube to represent the horse.
As for the cartoon feel, I don't know exactly how it should look. but maybe we can get a better idea if we keep trying on other models.
My saying in producing animation is that nothing feels right right off the bat. But after some tackles on scenes here and there, we get the bigger picture.

| That's a good point about the horse having to gallop across it, I hadn't thought of that. A side view would be really helpful.
And I worked on a version of the castle that is still totally up for critiques. So if you guys could look at the drawbridge in conjunction with the castle I modeled, that might be helpful in seeing how well the bridge fits with the rest of the castle. We should probably try to combine the two at some point tomorrow or something.

| This is a view from the side. There are a few problems with it because I didn't design the scene that way at first. I am currently moving apartments and will get on it as fast as possible. Just wanted to give everyone an update for now. I used a basic cgtextures texture for an image plane in the background. I did a test with a box and as long as the scale of the 2d work fits like the box does, the gallop sequence will fit perfectly. I will post a video on the server since t is too large to put here.

| Is the bridge just a plane? Cause it needs to be thicker... | |

Don't use textures. Go with 2 tone shaders. I'll be showing you guys how to give it a 2D look this week.

| Here is the newest version of the drawbridge. comments? I am using real textures for now to get an idea for myself about scale and a few other things. They will be changed this upcoming week. I tried to make things more squishy and I know the background isn't right, but it's something to work with for now.
